10 Tips to Drink More Water and 10 Spa Infused DIY Water Recipes

It's summer time, and you know what that means--time to hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! Did you know that our bodies are 70% water? Are you drinking enough water? Sometimes, we get so busy during the day that we forget to drink enough water. And sometimes, water is just plain.... boring. There are so many benefits of staying hydrated, but even if we know that drinking water is good for us, why do we not drink enough? Let's chat about a few tips to help you drink more water during your busy day and inspire you with some spa water recipes!


Some of the benefits of staying hydrated include maintaining electrolyte balance, delivering nutrients to cells, keeping skin hydrated (hello, who wants wrinkles?!), regulating body temperature, and balancing blood pressure. Staying hydrated can also help with food cravings. We may THINK we are hungry when we are actually THIRSTY.


Tips to Drink more Water:

  1. Drink warm water with lemon first thing in the morning

  2. Drink a glass of water before every meal

  3. Think: am I hungry or just thirsty?

  4. Use an app to track water consumption

  5. Drink sparkling or bubbly water

  6. Use a straw

  7. Drink herbal tea

  8. Design your environment to promote drinking more water (leave a glass on the counter or on your desk)

  9. Drink at least 2 glasses when you workout

  10. Take water with you when you are driving in the car

  11. Try drinking SPA water

Spa Infused Water Recipes


Having spa infused water recipes may just be the thing you need to help you drink more water. It certainly helped me! While I am someone who drinks warm tea all day long. that's not something I love to do as we move into summer. So, to keep up my water intake, I have been trying some of these DIY recipes:

  1. Lemon-cucumber

  2. Orange-raspberry

  3. Strawberry-kiwi

  4. Lemon-mint-rosemary

  5. Mango-pineapple

  6. Cucumber-mint

  7. Pineapple-mint-ginger

  8. Grapefruit-raspberry
